RESTore Silk Pillowcase

I love my new RESTore Silk pillowcase!  For the first time in a while, I slept wonderfully!  My face felt no creases or roughness from the silk pillowcase and nor did my hair feel like it was being pulled at night.  I normally sleep on a cotton pillowcase and I used to feel my hair pulling and my face would always have creases along the side of it when I woke up in the morning.

As I am now starting to get older, I realized #1.) this is NOT a good look for me and #2.) this can lead to wrinkles!  We will all do anything to prevent wrinkles and messy hair...

I HIGHLY recommend the RESTore Silk Pillowcase which is available in two sizes :)

Here is the link if you wish to check out the different colors that are also available: RESTore Silk

Please keep in mind that these are handmade and do take around 3-4 weeks to receive.  Totally worth the wait and I also received a brand new Essie nail polish in a gorgeous "Thigh High" deep red!

Happy Thursday!

Vrai & oro

1.) Vrai & Oro: Double Stacked Diamond Line Ring  2.) Vrai & Oro: Skinny Stacking Rings

How beautiful are these rings?!  I absolutely love them!  I have been dying for a set of the midi rings but really wanted some that were gold and would not tarnish over time!  Vrai & Oro is an amazing, affordable jewelry line.  After eyeing their items on Instagram for a while, I took the plunge and ordered the rings above!

(Hey Guys, Valentine's Day is around the corner, hint hint!)

I think my next purchase will be something with rose gold... let me know what you give in to on Vrai & Oro :)

Valentine's Day spirit...

1.)  Light Up Letter: Wish Walnut Creek  2.) Candle: Andrea Schroder Star Jasmine Candle  3.) Whiskey Rocks: SPARQ Whiskey Rocks  4.) Me And You Dish: 'Cross My Heart - Me & You' Trinket Tray  5.) Zella Pants: Zella Blur Print Leggings

Valentine's Day is right around the corner!  Have you thought about a gift for your special one?  It is always hard for me to find the perfect gift, so I try and think of something useful that people will actually use and appreciate.

My husband just started drinking whiskey and he enjoys it!  So I thought the whiskey glasses and whiskey rocks would be perfect.  The jewelry dish is symbolic for us because he likes to set his ring down and then always asks me where it is...  I figured this little dish would help him remember EXACTLY where he puts it from now on :).  We also go through candles like crazy, I love the Andrea Schroder candle and I love the cute sayings that are on all of her candles!

I recently purchased these Zella pants and I love them!  Super cute and just in time for Valentine's Day.  I definitely Pinterest'd this nail art idea and couldn't be happier that I did.

Wish you all luck in shopping for your special one this year...

Tequila-Chipotle Shrimp Recipe

CREDIT: Food & Wine Magazine Tequila-Chipotle Shrimp

This recipe is AMAZING!   Please, go and make it if you love a little, spicy shrimp dish!

We subscribe to this magazine and we absolutely enjoy every issue that comes out!  Unfortunately, we have been extremely busy and I haven't had a moment to go through a couple issues.  I recommend purchasing or subscribing to this magazine as most of the recipes I find are quick and easy (just what we need these days!).

For those of you who are local, I was able to find all of my ingredients at New Leaf Market (Pleasanton, CA).  I use all organic ingredients whenever possible while cooking.

Here are the ingredients:

  1. 2 tablespoons canola oil
  2. 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  3. 1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, minced
  4. One 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
  5. Salt
  6. Pepper
  7. 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  8. 1/4 cup finely diced fresh pineapple
  9. 1 tablespoon tequila
  10. Chopped cilantro, for garnish
  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil. Add the onion and chipotle and cook over moderately high heat, stirring, until just starting to soften, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper, then nestle the shrimp in the sauce and cook, turning once, until just white throughout, about 5 minutes. Stir in the pineapple and tequila, garnish with cilantro and serve right away.
To top it off, I put it over a warmed corn tortilla (to keep it gluten free).  It would also taste great over brown rice!

Let me know how it goes, please comment below!  Happy Sunday...
