RESTore Silk Pillowcase

I love my new RESTore Silk pillowcase!  For the first time in a while, I slept wonderfully!  My face felt no creases or roughness from the silk pillowcase and nor did my hair feel like it was being pulled at night.  I normally sleep on a cotton pillowcase and I used to feel my hair pulling and my face would always have creases along the side of it when I woke up in the morning.

As I am now starting to get older, I realized #1.) this is NOT a good look for me and #2.) this can lead to wrinkles!  We will all do anything to prevent wrinkles and messy hair...

I HIGHLY recommend the RESTore Silk Pillowcase which is available in two sizes :)

Here is the link if you wish to check out the different colors that are also available: RESTore Silk

Please keep in mind that these are handmade and do take around 3-4 weeks to receive.  Totally worth the wait and I also received a brand new Essie nail polish in a gorgeous "Thigh High" deep red!

Happy Thursday!

Vrai & oro

1.) Vrai & Oro: Double Stacked Diamond Line Ring  2.) Vrai & Oro: Skinny Stacking Rings

How beautiful are these rings?!  I absolutely love them!  I have been dying for a set of the midi rings but really wanted some that were gold and would not tarnish over time!  Vrai & Oro is an amazing, affordable jewelry line.  After eyeing their items on Instagram for a while, I took the plunge and ordered the rings above!

(Hey Guys, Valentine's Day is around the corner, hint hint!)

I think my next purchase will be something with rose gold... let me know what you give in to on Vrai & Oro :)

Valentine's Day spirit...

1.)  Light Up Letter: Wish Walnut Creek  2.) Candle: Andrea Schroder Star Jasmine Candle  3.) Whiskey Rocks: SPARQ Whiskey Rocks  4.) Me And You Dish: 'Cross My Heart - Me & You' Trinket Tray  5.) Zella Pants: Zella Blur Print Leggings

Valentine's Day is right around the corner!  Have you thought about a gift for your special one?  It is always hard for me to find the perfect gift, so I try and think of something useful that people will actually use and appreciate.

My husband just started drinking whiskey and he enjoys it!  So I thought the whiskey glasses and whiskey rocks would be perfect.  The jewelry dish is symbolic for us because he likes to set his ring down and then always asks me where it is...  I figured this little dish would help him remember EXACTLY where he puts it from now on :).  We also go through candles like crazy, I love the Andrea Schroder candle and I love the cute sayings that are on all of her candles!

I recently purchased these Zella pants and I love them!  Super cute and just in time for Valentine's Day.  I definitely Pinterest'd this nail art idea and couldn't be happier that I did.

Wish you all luck in shopping for your special one this year...

Tequila-Chipotle Shrimp Recipe

CREDIT: Food & Wine Magazine Tequila-Chipotle Shrimp

This recipe is AMAZING!   Please, go and make it if you love a little, spicy shrimp dish!

We subscribe to this magazine and we absolutely enjoy every issue that comes out!  Unfortunately, we have been extremely busy and I haven't had a moment to go through a couple issues.  I recommend purchasing or subscribing to this magazine as most of the recipes I find are quick and easy (just what we need these days!).

For those of you who are local, I was able to find all of my ingredients at New Leaf Market (Pleasanton, CA).  I use all organic ingredients whenever possible while cooking.

Here are the ingredients:

  1. 2 tablespoons canola oil
  2. 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  3. 1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, minced
  4. One 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
  5. Salt
  6. Pepper
  7. 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  8. 1/4 cup finely diced fresh pineapple
  9. 1 tablespoon tequila
  10. Chopped cilantro, for garnish
  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil. Add the onion and chipotle and cook over moderately high heat, stirring, until just starting to soften, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper, then nestle the shrimp in the sauce and cook, turning once, until just white throughout, about 5 minutes. Stir in the pineapple and tequila, garnish with cilantro and serve right away.
To top it off, I put it over a warmed corn tortilla (to keep it gluten free).  It would also taste great over brown rice!

Let me know how it goes, please comment below!  Happy Sunday...

coffee table love

1.) Coffee Table: Restoration Hardware  2.) Tray: Pottery Barn (ON SALE! No link to this item on their site - available in store)  3.) VOGUE book: Pottery Barn  4.) Paris book: Anthropologie  5.) Voluspa Mokara Candle: Anthropologie  6.) Cheetah candle: Pottery Barn

I have been waiting for the perfect time to order a new coffee table!  The kids are finally old enough where I am able to have a coffee table with decor on it and them not rip it down!  What a bonus in having a 3 and 4 1/2 year old... they almost understand what they CAN and CANNOT touch now :)   There are no toys on this table so of course they have no interest in touching anything now!

I put links above for each item that is included in the pictures with the exception of two.  The book in  between the VOGUE and Paris coffee table books is no where to be found on Anthroplogie's site however, they have so many other options to choose from (after touring their site I realize that maybe I need a few more now)!  Also, the swan candle topper... this was on sale at Anthropologie and I had to grab it.  I love the gold swan and figure I could use the jar for other things once the candle has been burned.

Happy Coffee Table Shopping on this beautiful Sunday!

makeup monday...

1.) NAKED2 Palette: 'NAKED2' Palette  2.) NAKED Basics: NAKED Basics  3.) NARS Bronzing/Contouring Powder: Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder Palette  4.) Nars blush: Color is Luster  5.) Concealer: MAKE UP FOR EVER Number 5  6.) SHAPE IT: European Wax Center  7.) Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner: Target

Since I have been sick this weekend, it was nice to be able to focus a bit on make up and some of my favorites of the moment!

1/2.) The NAKED Palettes... I LIVE for them.  They are literally amazing!  The one I use everyday is the NAKED BASICS as it has all light colors.  The NAKED2 Palette has metallic and a bunch of other fun colors you can play with for a night out!

3.) The NARS Bronzing/Contouring Powder is my new go to for each and everyday.  I use it to contour my face and start with the upper most part of my forehead, cheekbones, and sides of nose.  Then I blend with my powder to finish off.

4.) NARS Blush: Loving the Luster color.  I also like the color Orgasm (one of the most popular).

5.) MAKE UP FOR EVER Concealer: After two kids and no sleep... finding the perfect concealer was definitely a PRIORITY on my list.  This one is the best!

6.) SHAPE IT: This is an eyebrow, conditioning serum and has worked wonders for my eyebrows.  Not only does it help them stay in place, it also helps your hair start growing in the same direction!  What a savior this has been...

7.) Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner:  Best $5.00 ever spent!  Go buy it, try it and let me know what you think...

Hope you will check out some of these make up items, if not all of them!  I promise you will not be disappointed :).  Let me know what your favorites are, feel free to comment below!

saturday blooms

1.) Table: Restoration Hardware  2.) Chairs: Restoration Hardware  3.) Table Runner: Williams-Sonoma  4.) Place Mats: Williams-Sonoma

This whole house remodel has really taken a toll on me!  There is always a new project being started so there is NEVER a clean room or finished area!  Our dining room is a work in progress... however, it is always fun to dress it up with a table runner, place mats, and fresh flowers.

With two kids, there are only so many options for table runners and place mats that will work.  These are from Williams-Sonoma and I love them so much!  You just wash the place mats off if anything gets spilled on them and the table runner is washable as well.

The table and chairs are from Restoration Hardware.  I have been waiting to make this purchase!  Next in line are the two end chairs, table cushions (which both need to be custom ordered), and the chandelier.  Artwork/mirrors will need to follow as I have other rooms to focus on as well :)

While I am cleaning and organizing, I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
